not to sound like i'm just copying a load of other people, but: i'm flabbergasted, mildly disgusted and it reminded me a bit of metalocalypse at points.

but please, don't think those are negative comments. i loved it. i think? i don't know. i need to sit and think about life for a bit now. that was just... so odd... and so fucked up... but so well made.

i'd say my favourite bits were the close-up face shots at the start. i really like the use of shadow and light in this.

well done!

Sherbalex responds:

i gotta investigate this metalocalpyse thing because im really starting to get worried

very nice.

a lot of people claim to be crying. maybe that's true. if it is, there are some fairly emotionally unstable people here. :)

jokes aside, it is really lovely and well done. it's a shame it's very short.. but i guess this wasn't ever really intended for public release. your wife must have felt very special.

it's a touching story, told many times before perhaps, but played out very simply and from the point of view of a creature we don't often attribute 'love' to. as an animation now in the public eye, i personally felt the tear on the dragon at the end was a bit too much.

i gave it an 8 because i felt like the tear makes it more cheesy than sad. i felt like the story was a lot more true to the emotions it's trying to stir up when the dragons were communicating their feelings with a dip of the head, or shutting an eye.

anyway, it's really lovely.

Horsenwelles responds:

well without a tear (being the only cliche i knew would arise) the audience would end on a more confused note than tragic. if it wasn't there, the audience wouldn't really know that he died until after it was over.

anyway, thank you so much =D

smiley face.

these cartoons always give me a smiley face on my face. you're a shining star on newground's dark, dark chest hair.

Sexual-Lobster responds:

its so warm here!

lovely.

lovely little toon. i'm a big fan of your stuff (i must've watched karma ghost a million times when you released it). it's a shame newgrounds isn't very accepting to simple, nice ideas that have been executed well. the lack of video game reference, gore and internet humour means it misses out on the big views radar.. but it's a sweet cartoon that is much more deserving of an award than most of the rubbish that nabs first place.

billyblob responds:

Hello andyopus, Thank you for the nice comments. I must say that I am overwhelmed with the amount of views and positive responses for my goofy stuff here on NewGrounds. Thanks again!

hmph

what a surprise.. swain doing gay jokes again as a front to cover up his own homosexuality.

xxx

The-Swain responds:

Triple X...is that to indicate sexual content, alcoholic content, or Amsterdam>?!

fun, fun.

this is a really fun cartoon to watch. it runs smoothly and it made me chuckle, i really enjoyed it. i was pleasantly surprised. well done, and i hope you'll do some more toons. josh tomar really is a great voice actor, too, people should use him more often.

Evilcactus responds:

I actually have a couple of other cartoons that really need to get started on, one that would have been perfect for the halloween comp but hasn't really been started yet.

hmm.

i thought it was pretty poor. your art and animation wasn't terrible, but pretty bog-standard. the only way you'll ever get better and make things that appeal to a wider audience is if you break out of this overused anime/manga influence. try, at least, to make it your own style with slight influences of what you enjoy. because if you don't, it just looks like you're trying to copy anime but falling short.

in terms of story - it's good that you've been influenced by a variation of the zombie genre, instead of just sticking to the typical unexplained zombie infestation or resident evil spinoff. i say it a lot, but there are better - much better - voice actors out there who will happily do your voices for free and have better quality equipment and a better idea of how to do it. don't just go for your first choices or friends. search around. hype your movie up so that people who are good get interested. put the work into it and you'll reap the benefits.

and also, in relation to your art, style, and general choice of what is in your toon (the story, if you will) - it really says something of your age - or perhaps the age you are deep inside - when you take the time to draw out a girl bent over a railing in one of the most awkward and unrealistic positions i've ever seen just so you can detail her ass.

i kind of laughed, more than thought it was a good attempt at a short, intense thriller toon. it's not that it sucked, but just that i reckon you can do better.

Gi-go responds:

I dont really think you know what you are talking about. I dont have any anime influence.

brilliant work cuboy

although i think u stole my idea cuz u see i invented the square, thus the cube

we're going to be FAMOUS, will, because of that cute little bugger

FAMOUS BEYOND OUR WILDEST DREAMS

EdibleCastle responds:

Andy you are a hoot!

good, good.

gotta hand it to ya. this is very well made.

i have my speakers on low because it's late, so i couldn't really hear the voice acting but it sounded pretty good on the whole. maybe a bit cheesy but it is an action adventure so that's pretty hard not to come across as.

beautifully animated and stuff. it seems a shame to me that they're all stick figures - they're so detailed and well made that it feels like they might as well ought to be fleshed out. but, if it's sticks you want, then fair enough. at least you did it well.

this is the sort of hard work that deserves good scores. not things that try so hard to be something they aren't.

good job. keep up the fine work

Get-lost responds:

Thanks alot

whee

it was like, not short enough. i like my cartoons less than 5 seconds. make it shorter next time.

no but seriously, best series everrrr, much better than more like GAY haha

EdibleCastle responds:
